Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (Comemrcial EPC)
Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate
A commercial EPC report provides an energy rating of a Non-Domestic property. The Commercial Energy Performance Certificate shows a rating from A to G on a graph. “A” rating indicates that the property is very energy efficient with low running costs, while a rating “G” shows very bad energy efficiency of the building, which ultimately results in High running costs. Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) also comes with a recommendation report, which provides some recommendations to increase the energy efficiency of the building. We have a team of experienced commercial Energy Assessors. Please get in touch with us to book an order or get a quote for your property. We cover the West Midlands.

Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate

Commercial EPC
Non-domestic Energy Performance Certificates (Commercial EPC) play a very important role in energy efficiency and sustainability of commercial buildings. Commercial EPCs provide very important information to the potential landlords, tenants and leaseholders about the energy efficiency of a building and its environmental impact. EPC also provides information regarding the operating costs and any recommendations to reduce these costs. By improving EPC rating of Non-Domestic buildings, we can contribute to the global efforts of climate change. At Coventry Property Certification (CPCert), we provide this service at a competitive cost with quick turnaround.
Benefits of having a Non-Domestic EPC

Compliance with regulations
It’s a legal requirement to have a Commercial EPC when a building is constructed, sold, leased or rented out. Adhering to the regulations helps to avoid any penalties.

Energy cost savings
A good Non-Domestic EPC rating can significantly reduce consumption and operating costs. The recommendation reports that come with the commercial EPC can guide the business to implement energy-saving measures in the building.

Environmental impact
Enhancing energy efficiency of the commercial buildings helps to reduce carbon emission and reduce carbon impact on the environment. This ultimately helps the Global Warming issue. Contact the Non-Domestic epc assessor by following the link below.

Market Appeal
A commercial building with high energy efficiency rating such as A or B can enhance market demand and desirability of the building. A better rating shows the potential occupiers that the building has lower running costs.

Building improvement opportunities
The recommendation report that comes with the Commercial EPC provides valuable information regarding the energy efficiency of the building and how you can improve by implementing these recommendations. These recommendations include improving the lighting systems, upgrading insulation and/or installing renewable technologies. These recommendations not only improve the EPC rating but are beneficial for the occupier by reducing running costs.

Resulting Certificate
To get a Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), an accredited energy assessor is required to do a site visit of the building. During this visit, the assessor will collect information regarding the construction of the building (walls, Roofs, Floors, windows etc.), lighting in different areas of the property and HVAC (Heating, ventilation and Air conditioning) information. Energy assessor also collects information from other sources such as Google Maps, Local council and M&E firms. This data is then inputted into a Government approved software to produce Commercial EPC. The assessment considers all the information regarding construction, lighting and HVAC and produces a rating from A to G, where A being more energy efficient. A recommendation report is also produced based on the EPC. Get in touch to get a Commercial EPC. We cover the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester and surrounding areas.
Recommendations to Improve Rating

Upgrade lighting systems
By upgrading Lighting in the property can improve Energy efficiency. If the property has old traditional light bulbs, these should be replaced with LED lighting.

Improve insulation
By improving insulation in the roofs, walls and floors, you can reduce heat loss during winter and heat gain in the summer.

Upgrade heating and cooling systems
If property has old heating systems, by replacing these with modern energy efficient systems such as heat pumps can improve EPC rating.

Optimize ventilation
By implementing adequate ventilation in the commercial properties can improve the energy efficiency of the property.

Utilise renewable energy sources
By installing renewable technologies such as solar panels, wind turbines and biomass boilers can help to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and help to produce green energy.
